Sorry its been about a week since I blogged! The boys & I spent the last week with Will in Baton Rouge! Will & I decided last Saturday that we would make the 8 hour drive with him the next day! Yeah-8 HOURS!! We left around 11:30, ate lunch with Will's parents, stopped to see my Mom, picked up Josh(Will's coworker who lives in Cullman), and arrived in Baton Rouge around midnight! Poor Josh rode home with Will on Friday and got a truck load of us on the way back. The boys did as good as they could for that long of a ride. They fell asleep around 10ish so we had a few hours of peace & quiet! I brought my dad's laptop with us so Jack could watch a movie but it wasn't charged completely so it ran out of juice about 30 minutes into Cars, he was not a happy camper :(! Mentally note: Must purchase a portable DVD player for next time!
We had a great time in Baton Rouge. It's so funny to go somewhere you have never been before and see how another place runs. Thank goodness for GPS system!! What did we do before it! I decided to venture out Tuesday night and go grocery shopping and it brought me back without me thinking at all! The city is so big! There are tons of different shopping areas-Look out Will!! The Mall of Louisiana and a TowneCenter like BridgeStreet/The Summitt was only about 10 minutes from each other!! I could do some major damage there!!
As some of you know, this trip was also an opportunity for us to look at apartments. I know, most of you don't know but the boys & I are planning on joining Will in Baton Rouge in about a month. We are planning on staying for about 4 months or so while Will continues working that area. It is a HUGE leap of faith for us to leave our family & friends and move EIGHT hours away, but it is something we believe we need to do. I miss Will so much and we believe that our family should be together. If Will needs to be in Baton Rouge then we are needed there too! Please pray for us during this time to make the best decisions for our fam!
We did find a few places but it is sooo shocking how much it cost to live in the main part of the city. One of the apartments was 2 BR/1 bath only 900 square feet. But please come visit!! We may have to rearrange our apartment but we would love visitors!! ha ha We really realized how spoiled we are here with all the room/yard. We aren't planning on taking all our furniture since it is a temporary move so maybe we can start decluttering our lives.
We ask Jack how he liked Louisiana and he always said I like Woois Ana! ha ha so cute! Will took us to my Dad's house in Birmingham on Thursday night and he went back early Friday morning. Then, my sweet Dad brought us home today! We had a great trip (car time= 16hours), but it was nice to come home! I already miss Will and can't wait to see him next weekend!

Well, it is offical now...the move. I knew about the move, but I have not told a soul. Hate to see y'all go sooo far away. Maybe you can show me how to blog before you leave. You and your family will be missed. Be sure to take some Sun-Drop for Jack and tell him it is from Tot. :) Our secret!!! XOXO
I know it's not easy leaving home, even temporarily, but I agree that you're doing the right thing by keeping your family together. And knowing you, you'll have fun being down there, too! I'm sure God has great plans for you all in "Woois Ana!"
