Our First Week as a Family of 5

Wow, that seems really weird to type that!  So far, everything is going wonderfully!!  Sam has the sweetest disposition (it may be because he's early and he's sleeping alot but I will take it!).  My OLDER boys are doing great transitioning to another one in their world.  I have had a lot of concerns about Max because he has been VERY anti-baby, but he is doing great! He is constantly asking to hold Yam(that's what he calls him) and loves kissing him!  Jack loves him but is not interested at all in changing any dirty diapers. heh heh  Jack is really going to be a ton of help this summer because he enjoys helping out.  Surprisingly the lack of sleep hasn't bothered me as bad as it did with the others.  I don't know if it's because it's our last baby and I know once this phase is over...its over or because the past few months sleep hasn't work well with contractions and my body is just used to it.  Either way, it's a nice surprise!  Sam had to go back to the dr on Monday for a weight check and he was down to 4.5 and his jaundice level was a little elevated so we had to return on Wednesday for another check.  By Wed he had gained 1 whole oz (4.6) and the dr was glad to see any gain.  His jaundice level had already started going down so we were super excited about that.  It's funny to me that Sam is the earliest and smallest baby I've had yet he is the only one that didn't have a bad case of jaundice.  Everyone keeps saying he just doesn't know that he's tiny.  He's a big baby stuck in a little baby's body!  I have been staying home with all the children most of the week and even though it is overwhelming sometimes I love it!  I have been so anxious to get back to some kind of routine and now we can start working on our new normal around here.  Among everything else that goes along with the first week home with a newborn, the big boys had their last day of school parties (Will took one for the team and went with them), Jack had an appointment with a pulmonologist about his asthma, and Jack graduated from preschool.  Whew!! Just typing all that makes me tired.  The parties went great! Max's class had a pajama party, so he had to wear his SpongeBob Squarepants pjs.  Jack enjoyed spending the day with all his friends and it was pretty cool that Will was there too.  Jack's appointment went great.  I had made it like 6 weeks ago, and did not want to reschedule if possible.  Lucy (Will's Mom) was a brave soul and drove me and all my kiddos and stayed in the car with Max and Sam while I went with Jack.  It answered so many questions I had and I feel great about our new plan for Jack 's asthma.  Jack's graduation was last night.  Even though, he is going to go back to Lindsay Lane next year for the 5 day preschool he was able to graduated with his friends.  We said it was his trial run for the real thing next year.  We had a wonderful year with a great teacher and some great friends.  We will have to have several play dates with our classmates this summer.  Chenequa and Whitney came to meet Sam on Thursday on their way to the beach.  It was so much fun showing off my lil one and having a great lunch and conversations!! Next year, they won't be going without me!! I am enjoying today with no plans and nowhere to be tonight.  I might just try and recover today. ha ha

I feel like this shows how tiny he is!

Jack's end of the year party was a birthday party because most of the kids have summer birthdays!
