A little scare!

So we had a crazy busy 4th of July weekend and I guess I may have possibly done too much because I have not been feeling well since Saturday night. I tried to take it easy on Sunday, but Monday morning I decided to call the dr. and make sure everything was ok. My stomach has been super tight all weekend and the nurse thought that I might be dehydrated so she suggested that I take it easy and drink tons of fluids. Well..I had a lot to do on Monday (Jack's 2 yr checkup-He did great!) which really didn't allow for laying around so by the afternoon I was really hurting and decided to call back(thanks Jenny for making me!) The nurse said I needed to come to the hospital and make sure everything was ok. When I got there, I was having contractions and had dilated a little. I got 2 shots of breathin (terrible, terrible medicine that makes you shake all over and freeze)but it stopped the contractions. The baby's heartbeat was great and they think he is doing great! They did send me home with a prescription of breathin so if the contractions start again I can take the medicine before I have to go back to the hospital. The dr. wants me on pretty laid back care right now..I will not say bed rest just to make sure that little man stays put for a while longer. Our first trip to the hospital. Hopefully it will be a while before we return. I did see a few friends from college while I was there though. It was fun catching up! Gotta make lemonade out of lemons, right? By the way, the baby has been crazy since I got the medicine. He has not stopped moving since around 9pm last night. He kicked off the monitors twice at the hospital and this morning he kicked the remote off my belly. I am not sure if he liked the medicine or it ticked him off. I'll keep you posted!

Glad you're feeling better! Hopefully your little guy will behave himself and stay put a little while longer. Call if you need anything!

Glad to hear everything was okay.
I had that same little problem myself a couple of weeks ago but they were able to stop the contractions and everything is back on track. Keep up with the posts so I can check on you. Hope everything continues to go well.

Glad you're doing O.K. Hopefully that little boy will hang in there a little longer.
I just now discovered your blog! I've been so out of the loop here lately with Marley and the move and vacation, I feel like I'm finally awakening to the world again. I'll add you to my "Blogs I Like" and keep checking in. Keep up the good work!
