Our Weekend

I have been looking forward to Saturday for a long time. Will & I spent the whole day together and I got to plan it all. Laurie (Will's sister) and her wonderful family took the boys around 11am and they stayed with them until we met for church this morning. It was great knowing we had the day to ourselves and the boys were having a blast! So, I kept the day a secret and until we left Will still had NO idea what was in store. I even made clues to where we were going. I am not going to post them because they are kinda corny, but it is the thought that counts right.


We started the day with one of Will's favorite activities (pre babies) and that was hiking on Monte Santo mountain. It is one of his favorite places in the area. I can't say that I am the best hiker I am a little too clumsy but I know how much he loves it. We had a great time!! It was beautiful out there! We hiked for about 2 hrs and then I packed a picnic lunch out near the bluffs. We actually missed having the boys with us because there were sooo many families out enjoying the playground and the beautiful scenery. We hope to take the boys very soon.

From there we went to the highlight of the day...the WESTIN SPA!!! I had scheduled us a couples massage and chocolate covered strawberries and all the works. Our massages were not until 4pm but we arrived at 2:30pm because we wanted to take full advantage of all the extras. The locker rooms included a steam room, a sauna, and a whirlpool. They even had an attendant that would serve you hot tea or fresh cool water. IT WAS AWESOME!! Of course, we were in separate locker rooms so we didn't get to enjoy it together but it was nice to sit and relax. Our massages were amazing. I have had the luxury to have had a few massages before, but this was Will's first massage. He loved it! I chose the heavenly massages because of the heat compresses they put on your back during the massages. It was fun having the massages together too. We started laughing when I yelled when the lady tickled my toes. It's like when you're in church and you know you shouldn't laugh but suddenly everything is funny. After our massages we got to hang out in the Tranquility Room and were served chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. It was great!

I made reservations for us for dinner at The Melting Pot. They asked when I made our reservations if it was a special occasion so everyone that came to our table wished us a Happy Anniversary! Isn't that neat. We even got a card signed from the people from the restaurant. If you haven't eaten at The Melting Pot before you definitely should at least once. It was an experience. The Chocolate Course was my favorite! Who wouldn't like dipping rice krispies treats, marshmellows, bananas, strawberries, cheesecake, and brownies into a pot of milk chocolate with crunchy peanut butter!!! We had a great time!

"Fondoing ok?" They asked us that a bunch. We thought that was funny! I kept misunderstanding it and saying "Fondoing still?" Apparently I didn't get it. ha ha

It was an amazing day just being with my husband! We laughed so much! Will was definitely surprised with all that I planned!
