Yesterday was one of the scariest days so far as a Mom! Jack has been begging to go on a ride on the four wheeler, so with Will home for the weekend they decided to ride it after lunch. They were only gone about 10 minutes when my cell phone rang. Will called and said to get Max in the car and he would meet us there b/c Jack was hurt and needed to go to the hospital. Of course, I freak out!! I get Max in the car and I can hear Jack screaming over the four wheeler. I met them at the barn and all I could see was blood-everywhere!! Jack was covered! I could see that his face was cut and I thought his nose was bleeding. Will & I got him in the car and took off. Wouldn't you know that I was low on gas, so we had to stop at the gas station down the road! Will ran in and got a towel wet so we could start cleaning him up. I think everyone at the store freaked out when Will came in covered in blood and he was running around. In fact the lady there called my aunt before I even had called my mom to tell her something had happened to Jack. Will's parents met us in Madison and we after cleaning him up, we decided that the cut wasn't that deep. He did have one tooth out of place. His gums were swollen & cut! After talking to the pediatrician office, we decided that he didn't need stitches, but we did need to go to the dentist today to check on his tooth.
It turned out that my uncle had started a fence row in the woods. It only had one line of barbed wire at head level. Will & Jack were going towards it without knowing it was there. When Will saw it, they were already on it. He pushed Jack back on him with one arm and tried to move the wire over them with the other. They went under the wire, but it snagged Jack's cheek and the push caused the tooth to move. Will has several cuts on his hand/arm, but they are both going to be ok. We are sooo lucky that Will saw the fence at all. It could have been really bad!! Jack is doing good today. He is just really swollen! Hopefully the tooth will stay in! I am eager to find out if there is any damage. I will let you know what we find out this afternoon!! Here is a pic of my sweet boy!

Bless his heart!!! I KNOW you were scared to death. Glad it was nothing serious!!!
Poor Jack and poor you!!! I love how Jack is super proud of his battle scars!!
Look at that grin, even with his "boo-boos!" 100 percent boy. I'm glad nobody was hurt any worse than they were - and that you didn't have a heart attack in the middle of all of it!
Poor thing... that hurts me just looking at it! Unfortunately, that probably won't be the last of those scary accidents for you and your house of boys!

He is so gorgeous even with a boo boo. What a grin. You are truely blessed.
How scarey for you all! I'm glad they're both okay!
OH MY! So sorry. For you as much as for Jack!! I remember our first (second, and third) face boo-boos and ALL THE BLOOD. First of many, unfortunately, Mom. :)
