What did we do before computers?

I screwed up my monitor on my computer and it won't work anymore. There I admitted it!! Isn't the first step admitting you have a problem! I am usually pretty computer savvy not a computer scientist but savvy. I was working online and decided to change the font on my computer screen. I think that's what I did...well...I changed the screen too much and now it won't work and says it is out of range. Oops! I thought I would go try the old monitor we have in the attic and see if that would work..nope. I called HP to ask for their help but they wouldn't help me unless I would get a new warranty that costs $150. yeah, right! So...almost a week later I decided to try another computer. We just got a new/slightly used computer so I was excited to think about getting online until I realized we lost a very important adapter that we MUST have to turn it on...When it rains it pours right? My sweet father in law let me borrow his laptop and I spent an hour on the phone with our Internet provider trying to connect our systems. The help technician said he figured out what the problem was and if I could hang on for a few moments he would have it fixed..then the phone line went dead! ha ha Will brought his laptop from work home and one night forgot the power cord and the next night he forgot the computer!! So..a week after my accident I am back in action! Watch out! If you need any assistance with computer related issues please let me know..and I will stay far, far away!!
