Bo

It turns out that Bo was a very sick puppy when we got him from the rescue. I took him to the vet last Thursday b/c he was acting a little mopey. The vet said that he had Parvo-a very contagious dog virus and that he needed constant IV's and antibotics to MAYBE save his life. We had him hospitalized until Saturday, when he took a turn for the worse. Unfortunately, Bo was only getting worse and the vet didn't think he would recover, so we had to put him to sleep. Most of you know that Will and I have TERRIBLE luck with animals and we think that we should take this as a sign and reconsider animal ownership. What bothers me the most is that the vet believes that the lady who we got Bo from knew that he was sick and didn't inform us. Isn't that terrible. Of course, she will not return our calls which proves the point even more. Since the virus can live in the soil, the vet suggested that we wait at least 1 YEAR before bringing another puppy into our home. I know...I know...we got the picture. At least Jack is still so little b/c he has already forgotten about him...can you believe that?!? He asked on Saturday where Bo was, and we told him that Bo went Night-night...not a lie he did...permently. And, he hasn't asked again, so oh well maybe better luck next time..if there is a next time I am not sure.
